Senior Financial Analyst
Attention finance professionals. Our client, a large financial institution, located in downtown Toronto is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. for a 6 month contract with a possibility of extension or conversion to permanent.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial statement preparation, year end financial reporting , regulatory reporting and co ordination with auditors and should be willing to work from office in Toronto (5days a week) . You should also have experience with OSFI reporting

The candidate would be directly reporting to the CFO

Responsibilities
- Review and support in preparation of financial statements as per IFRS
- Supporting with year end closing and reporting
- Coordination with external and internal stakeholders including regulatory body, parent bank, board of directors, internal and external auditors
- Preparing and submitting various regulatory reports
- OSFI reporting and ensuring compliance and deadlines
- Preparing and submitting documents/reports required by auditors
- Assist with financial planning and analysis

Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree
- 3-5 years of Experience in a similar role
- Canadian Banking experience
- Should be aware of OSFI requirements especially capital and liquidity requirements
- MS Excel - Intermediate to advanced (V & HLookups, SumIfs and Pivot table)
- Experience with year end closing
- Financial statement preparation as per IFRS
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.
- CPA or CA (nice to have)
