Senior Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel and financial modeling skills, excellent communication abilities, and extensive experience with Sage Intacct. This position will play a key role in managing customized financial reporting, analysis, compliance and contributing to the overall success of our firm.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support decision-making and strategic planning, leveraging experience working with AI tools to enhance analysis.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Utilize Sage Intacct to maintain accurate financial records, streamline accounting processes and customized reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against targets.
Develop and implement best practices in accounting procedures and financial reporting.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to address inquiries and provide financial guidance.
Keep partners and other team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues.

Skill Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA designation is preferred.
A minimum 3-5 years experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on financial and management reporting and analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
Experience with Sage Intacct and similar accounting software is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Excellent multitasking abilities, maintaining focus on end results while consistently meeting deadlines.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
Passion for training and mentoring junior accountants and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Strong project management skills with a proactive approach to task execution.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Experience with Canadian and US accounting and compliance is a plus.
