Duties And Responsibilities

Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, and Engineering to establish and validate standard costing rates.
Conduct periodic reviews and audits of system rates & standard costs compared to actuals.
Perform time studies, confirm BOMs, and review routing processes.
Gather and analyze financial data to ensure the accuracy of financial processing.
Act as the champion for the annual standard costing update.
Coordinate team efforts to reassess data.
Compile necessary information to update Direct Labour standards.
Review financial reporting of variances (PPV and DL) monthly
Gather accounting data needed to calculate Overhead standards.
Roll out standard costs annually within the D365 environment.
Review inventory revaluation and produce necessary reports following the roll-out.
Assist management in making key decisions based on costs and benefits, such as investments, market growth, and pricing adjustments.
Monitor process or method changes to assess their impact on overall costs.
Estimate product costs for new items.
Implement system updates for new products, production changes, and engineering modifications.

Requirements

College Diploma or University Degree in Finance or Accounting
Minimum of 1-3 Years experience in a similar role
Understanding of standard variances: Shop floor analysis of standard vs actual, Bill of Material reviews & Routing confirmations
Able to work with and understand any system related issues
Must be able to Prioritize requests when muti tasks are assigned in limited time frame
CPA is not required but beneficial
