The Enterprise Systems Transformation Program is a multi-year initiative that will implement a single, modernized, core enterprise resource planning software solution. The Enterprise Systems Transformation Program will result in lower software costs for the City of Edmonton, standardized working processes, increase efficiency and result in greater integration between areas such as Finance, Human Resources and Inventory and Warehouse Management.
Reporting to the Branch Manager leading the Enterprise Systems Transformation Program, the Enterprise System Implementation Stream Lead delivers on projects through guiding and leading integrated, multi-disciplinary teams composed of staff from across the City. This includes projects and initiatives related to the modernization and integration of the enterprise-wide system transformation.
The Enterprise System Implementation Stream Lead outlines the core initiatives required for the process and technology transformation of the core business functions, including Human Resources, Finance and Supply Chain Services at the City of Edmonton. Identified initiatives will enable radical process standardization and technology transformation for the core business functions. This position is accountable for the end to end management of complex, corporate-wide projects and initiatives related Enterprise System Transformation Program. This position is responsible for making operational project decisions, leading staff and project teams who may report to other areas, and making budget and timeline decisions. The Enterprise System Implementation Stream Lead is accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects. This includes owning the responsibility for every deliverable, objective and outcome of the project; exercising influence, collaborating, communicating effectively, mediating issues and problem-solving.
Working in an integrated model, the Enterprise Stream Implementation Stream Lead is accountable for:
Leading with accountability, courage and inclusiveness

Leading multi-disciplinary teams consisting of consultants, contractors, business partners and stakeholders
Ensuring team members are empowered, have the competencies, and are well equipped to perform their project roles
Prioritizing and leading multiple, cross-departmental, complex projects involving a variety of stakeholders
Monitoring and managing risks to the projects as well as to the City and its reputation
Using project management systems and best practices to deliver projects efficiently and effectively
Implementing robust and proactive stakeholder engagement plans, activities and processes
Demonstrating the ability to model the Cultural Commitments of Safe; Helpful; Accountable; Integrated, and Excellent, and inspire the same in others
Qualifications
:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or other related disciplines
Masters Degree would be considered an asset
Additional certification and/or training in financial management; public administration; government relations; project management; and/or change management would be an asset
A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible project management and leadership experience
Experience managing large scale, enterprise-wide technology projects
Knowledge of the Municipal Government Act and other related legislation, bylaws, and policies
Strong project management skills including an understanding of project management methods and techniques
Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
Proven planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience developing and implementing public/stakeholder engagement processes
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills with experience in solving complex and sensitive issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation, report writing and presenting
Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop strong relationships and work in a collaborative, integrated manner
Experience managing and working with external consultants
Ability and willingness to delegate and empower others

Hours of Work
: 36.9 hours per week, Monday - Friday Salary
: $130,111 - $162,640 (Annually) T
