Web Developer - Toronto

At Tasktop our multiple web properties are used to help provide our audiences with the most ideal user experiences to meet their needs. We are looking for someone to join the Marketing team and operate customer facing services such as the main Tasktop website and third party marketing integrations. The role is varied and wide ranging, requiring a motivated, adaptable, self sufficient individual with great communication and technical skills. Technical skills will range from web development, content management tools, to hosting, automation, and web administration. In this role, the individual will have the opportunity to expand their technical experience as they work with multiple systems and departments.

Things you’ll be working on:

Managing and maintaining our CMS systems

Building and maintaining scalable applications using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Implementing and maintaining the technical responsibilities of our 3rd party vendor tools

Implementing SEO best practices across web properties

Providing support for hosting updates

Ensuring our site properties are designed and branded to corporate standards.

What will the work and team be like?

The Web Developer on Tasktop’s Marketing team will play a major role in the development of our web properties as well as many of our client facing digital efforts and have ownership of any technical development within the Marketing team.

Great candidates have:

Experience maintaining and extending Wordpress and Drupal templates, themes, and modules

Experience with React.js or other modern JavaScript libraries

Experience working knowledge of Git source control

Experience in building responsive websites using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

Experience with Acquia hosting and best practices

Experience modifying Marketo templates and creating Salesforce Apex tools

Experience with and understanding of Marketing principles

Willingness to collaborate across teams to achieve critical business objectives

A passion to learn and develop new skills

If you know some of the following, that’s even better:

Understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL)

Familiarity with Apache and Linux operations
