IT SPECIALIST REQUIRED IN TORONTO

For one of our clients located in Montreal, we are looking for a bilingual Retail IT Specialist for a 3 months contract role, with possibility of permanency afterwards.

Your new responsibilities

Will own the assigned processes from conceptualization through implementation, as well as future measurement and evolution of the process
Build teams and partnerships with appropriate business partners to ensure processes are timely and efficient
Main point of contact for Stores and Operations for all daily and strategic initiatives, delivers result with high sense of urgency and great customer service
Follows up on outstanding store issues and tracks through project software
Monitors and reacts to service-level issues with partners and vendors and escalates to proper team members as needed
Identify and assess issues and opportunities based on field, vendor and MK feedback
Ensure that all installations are complete on a timely basis
Create project plans to include post analysis to develop best practices and operational excellence
Understand all facets of Point of Sale system, communications, data movement and store back office processes
Will innovate, provide solutions, and develop best practices to evolve operational processes to ensure optimal efficiency
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. This includes working with remote management/team members.

What you’ll need to succeed

2 Year experience in Point of Sale or computer related field
Strong organizational, verbal, & written skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Strong PC skills Proficient in Microsoft Office
Bachelor's degree in IT or related functional business area or combination of course work/job experience
Project Management experience leading medium projects (asset)
