CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER REQUIRED IN TORONTO

A technology and digital start-up based in Dubai / United Arab Emirates is looking to recruit a Chief Technology Officer with proven experience building and launching successful online equipment rental marketplace B2B E-commerce platforms.

NB - ( ONLY CANDIDATES WITH EXPERIENCE BUILDING AND LAUNCHING SUCCESSFUL ONLINE B2B EQUIPMENT RENTAL MARKETPLACE AND E-COMMERCE PLATFORMS WILL BE CONSIDERED)

Responsibilities

Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
Help departments use technology profitably
Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
Build and implement quality assurance and data protection and platform security processes
Monitor KPIs, delivery lead time and IT budgets to assess technological performance
Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
Requirements

Proven experience as a CTO for a successful B2B / B2C online marketplace / E-commerce platform
Extensive experience in building and launching successful online marketplace platforms or E-commerce platforms from very early stage
Hands on experience integrating different technology software modules
Project management skills
Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
Building and empowering cross functional teams of Devops. etc...
Understanding of budgets and business-planning
Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
Excellent communication skills
Leadership and organizational abilities
Strategic thinking
Problem-solving aptitude
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
The position will be based in Dubai, DIFC and might require 25% traveling in the future
