Senior Data Warehouse Developer - Toronto
Our valued private sector client located in Ottawa is currently seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Developer on a full-time permanent basis.

As the Senior Data Warehouse Developer you will design, develop, modify, and implement a data warehouse. In this role you will analyze data sets from multiple sources to determine the best design, development, and implementation of a data warehouse, prioritizing clean data and data integrity. You will leverage your knowledge of cloud technologies and ETL to transform data into information and make it available to users in a timely manner.
What you will be doing:
- Design and deploy data table structures, reports and queries, etc.
- Enhance existing systems - analyze business objectives and prepare action plans in addition to identifying areas for improvement.
- Participate in integrated projects / Best BI Solutions - PowerBI, etc.
- Create technical spec plans and documents, etc.
- Create new and extend existing operational documentation.
- Data Cleansing / Data Integrity - ETL / SSIS, etc.
What do you need to succeed?
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Warehouse and ETL design and development.
- In-depth understanding and enterprise scale experience working with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) implementations
- Experience with Azure or AWS Cloud Technologies
- Writing SQL statements in Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience.
Behavioral Skills:
- Must have clear and concise verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and can fosters team collaboration.
- Technical aptitude having Problem-solving skills with an ability to conceptualize and articulate new approaches and solutions.
