About the Role

As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for developing our accounting and finance capabilities overall. This includes development of our financial system, workflow procedures and management, and reporting capabilities. You will also serve as a key stakeholder in collaboration with our leadership and functional teams in developing reporting and insights that drive the business forward.

Key responsibilities include:

Primary responsibility for GAAP reporting; management of the general ledger and ownership of all journal entries
Primary responsibility for core accounting functions including revenue recognition, cash management
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for our Board of Directors, creditors, and management team
Develop, implement, and maintain Boast’s financial systems, policies, procedures, and controls
Responsible for stock based compensation accounting
Comply with international, federal, state and local governments’ legal and reporting requirements and filings
Work with internal teams to develop internal guidance and support in order to drive successful growth and efficient scale

What You'll Need:

Proven track record of implementing accounting best practices
Demonstrated accounting experience, with full-cycle accounting ownership
CPA certification
Strong technical accounting skills, particularly regarding technology companies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an ability work cross-functionally
A self-started who anticipates problems and proactively finds solutions
Experience with multi-currency, multi-entity and consolidations
Experience implementing and optimizing financial systems
