Senior Accountant
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in financial management.

Main Responsibilities:

Preparing asset / liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing relevant information.
Assisting with journal entries to documenting financial transactions.
Recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Summarizing current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other reports.
Verifying financial transactions by auditing documents and adhering to policies.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Guiding accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing financial formation.
Securing financial information by completing database backups.
Maintaining financial security by following internal controls.
Preparing payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
Answering accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
Ensuring compliance with federal state and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
Preparing ad hoc financial reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
Maintaining customer confidence and protecting operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Communication with external advisors.

Requirements

5+ years experience as an Accountant (CPA) in Canada, preferably within the gaming or tech industry.
Bachelors degree or minimum 2 years of education in Accounting or Financial related fields.
Ability to read and analyze Financial reports.
Experience working with QuickBooks.
Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel.
Corporate Finance and Tax knowledge.
Data entry and payroll management.
Reporting research results.
General maths and analytical skills.
Good time management skills.
