Summary

Responsible for the development of new programs and products, store merchandising layouts, training manuals, sales and profitability and a strong relationship with Operations on store execution.

Specific Responsibilities

Develop new products and programs, including recipes, specification sheets, planograms and training manuals. Makes recommendation on equipment and placement.
Maintain, with Quality Assurance, fully up-to-date and complete Ingredient and NFT files
Maintain completeness and accuracy of TANK recipie file
Create merchandising excitement and direction through event creation, planning and implementation of theme events and seasonal opportunities
Work with vendor community on new product development and programs and identify trends and category growth opportunities.
Identify consumer requirements and develop merchandising programs to meet those needs
Manage promotional information communication with internal stakeholder groups such as Operations and EComm
Recommend new items and items to discontinue, utilizing existing analyzing technologies, including Dunnhumby to maximize sales, with assortment mix, space allocation and sales, profits
Assist specialists in executing category planograms and programs.
Maintain contact with District Managers, Specialist, Director of Execution and Store/Dept. managers to provide direction, respond to questions, resolve issues and assist in training
Review packaging including costs, efficiency, and sku rationalization
Work with Corporate Brands on the development of our Private Label programs including selection, product specifications, costing, logistics, quality and packaging.
Accountable for delivering overall strategy and implementation of new programs and initiatives Comply with corporate and regional guidelines.
Accountable for achieving budgeted sales and profit on developed programs
Monitor all competitive and industry activities, regarding merchandising, product development, trends, marketing and promotions
Qualifications

University degree prefered
5-7 years bakery retail experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and achieve deadlines
Problem solving skills
Intermediate computer skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Relationships

Reports to the Director Merchandising, and interacts with the Category Manager, Director of Execution, Field Specialist, Store and Dept Managers.
