Accounts Payable AssociateIn this role, you’ll primarily be responsible for administering and processing accounts payable. You’ll also support various other accounting functions as needed.We are a small, dedicated team that enjoys the opportunity to wear different hats. While the basis of your work will be in accounts payable, there is plenty of room for growth and curiosity in terms of what you do outside of that core. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your current skill set while challenging yourself to learn and grow professionally.Practically speaking, you will:* Match all incoming invoices to support documentation and purchaser orders* Process all invoices for payment within 2 weeks of receipt* Reconcile and release holdback to trades as it becomes due* Work with various internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies* Work with trade and supplier partners for any required adjustments to invoices* Scan all invoices into ERP system for digital filing* Maintain all hard and soft filing systems related to accounts payable* Assist with preparation of cheque runs and EFT batches* Review all statements and work with suppliers to ensure zero late payments* Assist with processing of hourly payroll* Assist with recording sales transactions* Assist with required monthly journal entries* Work with all department to ensure accurate Purchase Orders (PO’s) are being generated* Prepare monthly reports related to Accounts Payable and Receivable* Provide supporting documentation for audits as requiredRegardless of whether you have experience in the homebuilding industry, you’ll be a perfect fit for this role if you possess the following qualities:* You’re proactive, recognizing problems and finding solutions without having to be asked or micromanaged* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Detail-oriented* Open to learning new things* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsWorking at Honeyfield Communities:This is a full-time, permanent position with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00. You’ll receive a salary commensurate with experience, as well as 2 weeks’ paid vacation time and benefits. What Makes You an Ideal Candidate: It is essential that you love helping people, proactively anticipate and respond to needs, and possess the desire to work closely with a team.
