Gervais Patterson CPA LLP is a young accounting firm, located in the heart of Embrun, just 20 minutes East of Ottawa. We are a small, tight-knight team of young professionals, looking to add a member to our team.

Role Description

Guylaine Patterson CPA Professional Corporation is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, completing tax filings and providing analysis and support to clients in the Embrun, ON area.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or in progress); CPA designation is considered an asset
We are open to considering experience in lieu of the educational requirements above
Experience working with accounting software such as Quickbooks, Sage, Caseware, Taxprep etc.
Ability to work with clients to interpret financial data, provide financial analysis, prepare financial statements and tax filings
A strong understanding of accounting standards, financial principles, and tax regulations
Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Knowledge of French is preferred and considered an asset

Remuneration

Full-time, permanent employment
Flexible schedule

Work is in-person, at our office in Embrun
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience
