Temporary Site Accountant - Toronto

Agilus is currently recruiting a Site Accountant for our client in Nisku. The Site Accountant reports to the Operational Finance Controller, and is responsible for managing inventory, maintaining the general ledger and providing financial and analytical support for the operational teams. Additionally, the Site Accountant is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting to the senior leadership team. Occasional travel across Western Canada will be required for this role. This opportunity will be a good fit for you if you are willing to roll up your sleeves to help the team get the job done. Your Responsibilities

General accounting, monthly and quarterly financial reports and facility-based reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts including financing transactions, inter company transactions and revenue accounts for the facility
Inventory accounting including inventory management, production costing, production forecasting and analysis
Ensure WIP inventory is accurately tracked and transferred through the production system
Prepare reports for operational managers in order to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Trial balance analysis, including explanation of changes/variances and preparation of accruals and adjusting entries
?Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end working papers for the facility and financial reports and assist with year-end audits and reviews
Assist in budget preparation and cash flow projections for the facility
Prepare various ad-hoc reports in a timely and accurate manner
?Ensure compliance with IFRS, SOX, internal controls, accounting systems and policies
Assist with the maintenance and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures
Provide support to Operational Finance Controllers and Corporate Controller
Other special projects / duties as required
Your Experience

?Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
Enrollment in or completion of CPA, CGA and/or CMA, programs
Minimum 3 years’ experience of full cycle accounting in a high-volume environment preferably in the manufacturing or related industry
Excellent overall verbal and written communication skills
?Public company experience working in IFRS would be an asset
Self-motivated and customer focused
Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
?Advanced Excel skills
Experience working with accounting software
Experience working with ERP software would be an asset
?Flexibility to assist with various tasks within the finance team environment
Temporary position 1.5 - 2 months
Start Date December 9 2019
