Accountant
Our client is searching for an Accountant to be primarily responsible for the processing accounts payable and trust account transactions. This includes, but is not limited to, data entry, processing, reconciling, and other related tasks. A successful candidate will also assist with other accounting duties as required.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

Data entry of cheques as well as processing, verification, and reconciliation
Posting direct deposit and e-transfers, and manual deposits
Processing cheques and credit card payments
Provide overall accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, such as data entry and physical/digital filing
Assist with accounts payable
Other skills as required

Your strengths include:

Accounting certificate or diploma; pursuing CPA designation is an asset
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, professional services industry preferred and experience with trust accounts is an asset
Knowledge of automated accounting software is required
Proven customer service and relationship building skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high quality work
Can work effectively with a team or independently, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships both in person and digitally with other locations
