Staff Accountant
Position Summary

This position will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements and other financial reports, as well as compiling and analyzing financial information for Truckstop.

Essential Job Functions

Participates in period-end close activities including preparation of journal entries.
Prepares reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts to ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled with timely resolution to reconciling items.
Prepares banking entries and bank reconciliations.
Fixed Asset, Intangibles, and Prepaid management.
Performs accounts receivable billings and customer cash applications.
Assists with preparation of month-end financial statements including account variance analysis.
Assists with and participates in monthly financial statement review.
Assist or drive ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
Verify and inspect accounting records for efficiency and accuracy.
Organize and update financial records.
Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
A minimum of two years’ professional accounting experience.
In depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Final salary is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$60,000—$70,000 USD
