Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to work on a 3 month contract. Reporting to the Controller, the key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant are:

Undertake full cycle accounting duties including bank reconciliations and project analysis
Undertake month-end close activities and adjusting journal entries
Prepare consolidated financial statements.
Review the work of the Corporate Accountant
Review and provide recommendations on how to streamline business processes

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a designated accountant with 5+ years of industry experience and strong full cycle accounting experience. Public practice experience would be a big asset, but not essential.

You also have the following key criteria for the job:

Experience with month-end close and preparing financial statements
Experience with the preparation of consolidated financial statements
Proven experience with D365 Business Central
Excellent communication skills
Great interpersonal skills and able to collaborate with members from other departments
Solid organizational skills and able to prioritize tasks
Advanced Excel skills
