Senior Accountant
Since our beginnings in 2006, we have aspired to be a center of excellence in transportation and are answering niche customer needs for the movement of project cargo for all different types of industries that require heavy haul transport.

We are seeking a full time Transportation Senior Accountant to join our Calgary, Alberta team.

Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Full Cycle Accounting

Ability to complete a month end / Quarter end / Year end working paper file

Banking

Ensure all accounts are reconciled daily with accounting software

Accounts Receivable

Ensure all invoicing completed on a daily basis, and follow up with delinquent accounts
Ensure accounting subledger agrees to GL account
Complete Credit Memos, if they are required
Ensure intercompany accounts at month end are in agreement

Accounts Payable

Ensure AP invoices are entered on a timely basis and assist when required
Ensure accounting subledger agrees to GL account
Ensure any supplier disputes are dealt with on a timely basis

Inventory

Ensure at month end inventory reports agree to GL
Investigate significant differences when adjustments are made to actual

Capital Assets

Ensure sub-ledger agrees with GL

Ideal candidate would be proficient with all Microsoft programs. Be able to work in a fast past environment. Adapt well to all work environments and is a team player
