Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Senior Accountant located in Toronto, ON. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the monthly bookkeeping (Fiat and Crypto), quarterly and annual closing, payroll services, invoicing and bill payment, and audit support. The Senior Accountant will also provide CFO services, including budgeting and controllership, M&A advisory, fundraising, and financial analysis. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will provide tax structuring expertise, such as multi-jurisdictional planning, offshore entities, IP licensing, sales tax planning, compliance, and filing.

Qualifications

CPA designation or equivalent qualification
Experience with Nasdaq and TSX listing process and audit readiness mandate
Strong experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial analysis
Proven experience of managing and mentoring a team
Experience in financial modeling and forecasting
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax, and relevant regulations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Experience with Web 3 or fintech is a plus
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Experience working with mid-tier and high-tier firms as auditor a big plus
