Agilus is recruiting for a Junior Accountant in the Business Services Industry in Calgary, Alberta.

Accountabilities

Set up new clients in the system
Manage day-to-day banking and bookkeeping activities for clients (AR, AP, journal entries)
Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit&Loss;, AR and AP reconciliation, Bank account reconciliations / MasterCard reconciliations)
Prepare cash flow analysis
Reconcile and prepare monthly GST returns
Preparation of engagement letters and year end tax/financial packages (T1/T2 tax returns)
Prepare ad hoc reports per client request

Successful Candidates Will Have

Able to work individually with minimal supervision.
Able to uphold confidentiality regarding client matters.
2+ years' experience in an accounting related role.
Accounting degree or diploma.
Experience with basic T1/T2 tax returns preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Online required. Ideal to also have Xero Online, ProFile Tax, CaseWare Working Papers)
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Permanent, part time position with potential to go full-time. Starting with 24 hours per week
