Job Description
Silver Creek Music Academy is expanding and opening a new music studio in Brampton and has an opening for a music teachers of all disciplines. The position is evenings. Applicants should have knowledge of music pedagogy; curricular approaches to teaching music and strong desire to help music students of varying ages and ability levels succeed as student musicians.
Music Teacher Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive music instruction to students of various ages
Prepare students for two recitals a year, music festival and RCM examinations.
Be on time to scheduled lessons, be helpful, be patient and friendly
Be enthusiastic, prompt, pro-active and communicate with studio Director(s) as required.
Encourage and prepare students for performance opportunities.
Teacher Requirements
RCM Certified Elementary, Intermediate, and/or Advanced Specialist in piano and RCM Certified Elementary, Intermediate or Advanced Theory and/or Equivalent,
Have a B.A. or B.M. in music or to be close to its completion or equivalent and/or,
Advanced students Level 9 or higher are welcome to apply;
Have at least two years of music teaching experience
Possess excellent communication skills
A completed criminal and vulnerable sector police check on file.
