Compensation: $40,000 - $55,000 per year, plus potential bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

At DCCHail we are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team. DCCHail provides a full paintless dent service for our retail customers, to repair damage caused by hail. We work closely with insurers, dealerships and body shops to repair dents on their vehicles.

Responsibilities

Responsible for daily data entry for the accounting function
Assist the controller with preparation of month-end
Various daily and monthly reconciliations
Processing employee travel and expense claims
Preparation of bank deposits and daily cash report
Preparation of bank reconciliations
Communication with suppliers to resolve invoicing issues
Collection of insurance receivables
Posting of daily transactions for Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
Preparing payments for review and issuing to vendors
Assisting with implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures
General administrative duties and month-end tasks
Other duties as required

Requirements

Completion of an Accounting Degree is considered an asset
At least 1 year of related experience is preferred
Experience with Sage Business Works would be considered an asset
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
Flexible to work on a wide variety of projects, tasks, and assignments
Ready to work overtime when needed
Responding easily to changing priorities
Advanced MS Office skills (Excel & Word)
Ability to work independently and within a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
