In addition to expanding and increasing the number of our corporate locations, we have become a viable branding and fuel supply alternative for independent fuel site owner/dealers who do not wish to continue with any of the major Canadian fuel brands.
This is an ideal position for a versatile and attentive-to-detail accounting professional who can take on a wide range of bookkeeping duties. You will work with many team members in our small Calgary office in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and run financial accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and records of First Nations files.
Maintain exemplary relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders that support the accounting and reporting process.
Manage day-to day accounting operations including daily sales entries, AR/AP entries, bank reconciliation.
Month-end, quarterly and year-end closing processes
Coordinate yearly audits.
Payroll processing, ROE preparation, WCB & annual T4 filings
GST/PST reconciliation and filing
Analyze and prepare financial reports (i.e. profit & loss, balance sheet)
Assumes other responsibilities as required.
Knowledge and familiarity with AITE & RTVS are preferable.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
Full cycle bookkeeping (3 years+)
Financial statement preparation (3 years+)
Pursuing an accounting designation (CPA) with minimum Core 1 and Core 2 cleared is preferred.
Sound knowledge and understanding of Canadian GAAP
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks at one time while maintaining incredible attention to detail.
Affinity to learn and embrace various software platforms such as Quickbooks Enterprise Version, Microsoft Office
Capable of working independently and within a team environment
