Junior Accountant

Responsibilities
-Maintenance of the full-cycle accounting process
-Posting journal entries
-Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
-Generating invoicing, and monitoring the aged accounts for AR
-Coding appropriate payment methods and assisting in the payment process for AP
-Month-end closing procedures
-Tax filing and assisting with annual audit
-Prepare and file HST returns
-Ad-hoc reports and other tasks and responsibilities as requested
-Providing recommendations and improvements

Qualifications
-One year experience or equivalent education in accounting
-Knowledge of Jonas or another ERP
-Understanding of CAN GAAP
-Strong communication skills
-Intermediate level of Excel
