Position Overview:

The Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) will work with our office team and ownership, in conjunction with external accounting firms to meet all objectives and obligations. This role will play an integral part in keeping the accounting team organized and in compliance by completing assigned duties from senior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly reports
Completing bank reconciliations, reviewing, and recording transactions
Assist with the preparation of year-end reports
Posting entries in the general ledger as required
Setting up and reviewing cost codes for new and ongoing projects

An ideal candidate:

Would possess proficiency with computers, Office 365, and accounting-specific software such as Explorer Eclipse. Having familiarity with civil construction and large equipment fleets would be beneficial to succeeding in this role. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting will be required for this role. A keen eye for detail, organization, and accuracy is key to ensuring proper reporting requirements are met.

We will also consider candidates with more experience in their career as well and will match the pay range upwards from the posted amount in accordance with their years of experience.

Education such as a bachelor’s degree or experience in a related discipline such as commerce (finance or accounting) will be required along with being a current CPA Canada member.

A successful candidate should plan for a Monday to Friday work schedule operating primarily in our Estevan or Saskatoon (Clavet) office, with flexibility granted to balance other responsibilities.
