ACCOUNTING CLERK REQUIRED IN TORONTO

Our government agency client is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team for an excellent interim opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for processing accounts receivable and payable transactions, preparing invoice batches, accurately performing complex accounting calculations, drafting correspondence, and ensuring appropriate coding and supporting documentation.

You will also provide support and information to vendors, suppliers, and employees, prepare and distribute cheques as required and maintain filing system of all financial documents, ensuring confidentiality and security.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance or a related field;
3 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the public sector;
Strong technical skills and proficiency using MS Excel;
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in a professional manner.
