Strong experience in accounting and bookkeeping
Experience with Sage and QuickBooks software
Knowledge of Zoho Books is an asset
Autonomy and initiative, with a desire to help build an accounting team within a growing company

Bilingualism (French and English)

Responsibilities

Bookkeeping Manager

Ensure complete and accurate bookkeeping, making sure all transactions are properly recorded and classified.
Supervise a team and efficiently review tasks, assist and guide employees when necessary.
Invoice Entry: Accurately and timely enter supplier and customer invoices into the accounting system.
Transaction Recording: Record all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Tax Filings: Prepare and submit federal and provincial tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Budget Updates: Participate in updating and monitoring budgets, providing regular reports on variances from forecasts.

Financial Analysis

Assist in the analysis of financial statements and provide recommendations to improve the company's financial performance.

Client Communication

Offer support and advice to clients on accounting and financial management matters.

Business Development

Contribute to implementing new technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Help raise the company’s profile through networking and content participation.
