Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a Marketing company in Downtown Vancouver, BC. We are looking to hire a Part Time Accountant to join their team on a contract basis of 3 months, with the potential to become permanent. This is a PART TIME role, 24 hours per week. You can also work Hybrid.

Your new Responsibilities:

Responsible for full-cycle accounting
Track payments made via wire/EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
You will perform a variety of professional level accounting duties involved in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying and reconciling financial transactions, statements, records and reports; maintains the accuracy of the company’s ledgers and subsidiary financial systems
Assists in the preparation of assigned budgets and year-end closing
Provides highly responsible staff assistance to the team.
Maintain Quickbooks records on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

What you need to succeed:
Post-secondary school degree, preferably in Accounting or Business or a related field.
2+ years of bookkeeping/office management experience.
Proficient in MS Office (Word & Excel), Google Docs, Mac OS
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks is a must.

What you’ll get in return:

The opportunity to work for a large marketing company in Vancouver. You will only need to work 3 days per week, with occasional overtime. You can work on a Hybrid basis and there is a high potential to go permanent. You will also get paid a competitive hourly rate each week, up to $29 per hour depending on experience
