Medical Assistant - Toronto

Moderate previous experience performing similar work is required for this job.

Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight and height. Help physicians examine and treat patients, handing them instruments or materials, or performing such tasks as giving injections or removing sutures. Record patients' medical history, vital statistics or information such as test results, in medical records. Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens; log the specimens and prepare them for testing.

Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1+ years in a medical office
• Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology
• Previous experience in specific medical field preferred
