General Accountant
The Finance Team is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes.

Responsibilities:

Responsibility for job opening and assign (and assist with) construction billing in the finance team.
Assist with the process employee expense claims – Reconcile receipts and credit card statements monthly.
Assist with interco transactions on a monthly basis.
Assist with fixed assets additions and reconciliation.
Assist with new customer set up in GP
Assist the Maintenance of books of account (including but not limited to preparing checks, coding and posting invoices, preparing deposits, journal entries, reconciliations).
Involved in full cycle month end activities (including but not limited to general accounting records and GL maintenance) in compliance with company policies and procedures
Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Liaise with various departments to ensure accuracy and timely recording of financial information, resolve any issue where required.
Strives for continuous improvement of procedures and processes pertaining to the monthly accounting close
Perform additional ad-hock analysis and reporting, as requested. Other duties and analysis as assigned by Manager

Qualifications:

A minimum of two years’ experience in full cycle accounting functions
Self-starter with effective organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong Analytical skills which involves financial analysis, key trends analysis and business case analysis.
Experience with a fully integrated accounting system such as Great Plains or JD Edwards.
Team player with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Detail-oriented problem-solver with strong MS Excel and MS Word skills.

The annual gross base salary range is $50,000 - $70,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that aligns with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the Ainsworth total compensation package, which includes short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, and life insurance, to name a few!
