Accountant - Toronto

The Opportunity

XCMG Canada Ltd. is currently seeking an Accountant for our Stony Plain, AB location. We are looking for a knowledgeable, organized, self-motivated team player with strong professional skills to join a fast-growing and dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for management reporting and analytical functions to support business monitoring and roll up to the Controller.
Responsibilities will include developing and implementing processes to expedite consistent, accurate and timely financial closes and meaningful management reporting. This role is also key in supporting and developing the Regulated Accounting team, and with supporting business growth objectives and international entities.

Financial Reporting

· Perform account reconciliations and maintain the general ledger
· Complete month end and year end closing reports in accordance with the relevant closing schedule
· Prepare management reports in accordance with group reporting requirements

Financial Planning and Analysis

· Participate in fiscal budget and forecasting preparation with the Controller
· Prepare analytical reports for periodic business performance review
· Monitor financial and non-financial KPI for dealer performance analysis

Audit and Internal Control

· Co-ordinate both external and internal audits
· Lead fixed asset and inventory stock taking
· Others as required

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree is a plus
· Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
· Good understanding of GAAP
· Pursuing CPA an asset
· Advanced skills in Excel
· High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal direction and supervision.

Schedule

· Monday to Friday
· 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
· 40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
