We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our growing team.

The Accountant- Property Management is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the condo corporations and townhome associations by accurately recording, processing, and reconciling the day-to-day financial transactions of the company. This role is a bookkeeping/accounting position that involves working closely with the Property Managers.

FULL TIME - 44 Hours per week

Responsibilities:

Record keeping: Accurately record financial transactions and maintain up-to-date accounting records for 40-50 condominium corporations each month
Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and properly posted for 40-45 condominium corporations each month
Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices, follow up on any late payments, and handle client queries about invoices. Process approximately 3000 receivables each month
Payables: process approximately 500 vendor invoices each month for payment
Financial Reporting: Preparation of financial statements and providing regular financial reports for Clients and ensure financials are in an audit-ready state of compliance each month.
CAO Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns by providing audit-ready-year end financials and all necessary documentation as per the Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO)

Key Performance Indicators:

Accuracy: Maintain accurate records.
Efficiency: Meet all deadlines for invoicing, reporting, payable processing, and reconciliation
Client Satisfaction: Maintain high client satisfaction through accuracy, timeliness, and excellent service delivery.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or Post-secondary education
Previous bookkeeping experience is required.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Proficiency in Google Suites and Microsoft Excel
Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong self-motivation and organization.

Benefits:

$55,000 - $60,000 salary per year based on experience
