We are currently looking for an AZ Company Driver for Afternoon Shift out of our Blanking facility in Brantford, Ontario.

Monday to Friday - Start time 12:00 PM
10-12 hour shifts
Paid Hourly, Direct Deposit, Weekly

Responsibilities:

Delivery of finished product to the customer/pick-up of raw materials at the mills.
Responsible for securing a safe & legal load.
Perform related computer functions (scanning, billing, finalizing, etc.)
Complete daily trip sheet and/or electronic logs as applicable and ensure that all associated records are completed and submitted.
Maintains logs, drivers trip reports, vehicle condition reports, related records, maintenance, and repairs to vehicles.
Maintains eligibility for commercial driver’s license and complies with applicable Department of Transportation regulations as well as local traffic laws governing operation of vehicle.
Responsible for the safe operation of vehicle on public roadways and customer & supplier locations.
Always conduct themselves with a professional demeanor, to project an appropriate corporate image in all dealings with customers and the public.
On occasion may be responsible for picking up customer payments after delivery has been made
Performs all other duties as assigned.

General:

Knowledge of Load securement requirements (NSC Standard 10)
Knowledge of Hours-of-Service Regulations
Subject to completion of all pre-employment screenings
Knowledgeable and experienced in load securement (strapping, chaining, tarping)

Education & Qualifications:

AZ license
2-3+ years of proven Flatbed commercial driving experience (48’/53’ tractor-trailer combinations)
Multi axle steel flatbed hauling experience required
Steel, Heavy Haul, and Oversized Freight experience a highlighted asset
Knowledgeable and experienced in Load Securement (strapping, chaining, tarping) required
