Long Haul Drivers Wanted:

Preferred Carriers Inc. at 80 Diamond Avenue, Spruce Grove, AB is seeking 10 experienced long-haul truck drivers for full-time (40 hours) permanent positions as soon as possible. We run south into the states with flat decks and step decks. Trips are for 10 to 14 days, depending on schedule. if you are interested, we would love to hear from you.

We Offer:

@26.50 per hour(annual earnings of between $60,000 and $75,000 based on mileage rates.

Newer model Kenworth trucks (manual transmission)

Requirements:

Mountain driving expertise (desired)

Fluency English language abilities.

At least one year of proven class one driving experience. (manual transmission)

A valid passport and willingness to travel Cross-border for extended periods.

A valid license (class one and AZ Endorsement) and driving record check.

Completion of drug test.

Steel-toed safety boots,cellular phone and hard hat,.

Duties:

Drive tractor-trailers (flat-decks and step-decks) to transport cargo to and from the USA.

Perform pre-trip, en route and post trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage.

Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.

Record cargo information, hours of service,distance travelled and fuel consumption.

Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect equipment regularly.

Communicate with dispatcher and customers using communication devices and on-board computors.

Secure loads (tarping) and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
