Martushev is logging and construction company based out Lac la biche, and Whitecourt Alberta, we work all across northern Alberta. We harvest 600,000+ m3 of timber yearly, aswell as operate 40+ heavy equipment for road construction projects. We run predominantly Tigercat equipment on our forestry side, aswell as mostly CAT/John Deere equipment for our construction side, we do run some gravel trucks aswell as lowboys aswell.

We are currently looking to add a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic for our field service operations, aswell as a lead mechanic in our shop located in Lac la biche, AB

Shift: Monday to Friday, 5 days on, 2 days off or what's negotiated.

Location: Field position would be required to travel northern Alberta. Shop position would be near Lac la biche.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the forestry and construction equipment including bunchers, skidders, delimbers, processors, mulchers, dozer, excavators, rock trucks, graders, lowbed and gravel trucks.Able to diagnose faults and malfunctions, adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at work sites, test the repaired equipment for proper performance, maintain a safe and clean work environment, able to travel and work in remote locations (90%)Experience using Micrometers to measure tight tolerancesMust be able to work with minimal supervision but also participate in the work of other mechanics and apprentices within the field and shop environment

Qualifications:

Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification including Red Seal Certification3-5 years of forestry or construction related experiencePrevious experience work with TIGERCAT, CAT, CUMMINS, JOHN DEERE, KOMATSU product would be a benefitStrong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals relating to manufacturer specificationsMust have a demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical systems common to forestry and/or construction equipment product***perience in a customer facing role and a sound understanding of the importance of customer relationshipsGood organizational and planning skillsStrong attention to detail and able to work within the framework of multiple deadlinesHold a strong standard for quality and safetyHave a team oriented approach and thought processMay be required to travel to various and sometimes remote job locations for extended periods of time and be based in a camp
