DZ Driver - Toronto

DZ Driver
This role is responsible for the movement and documentation of incoming and outgoing goods. Working in the warehouse this person is responsible for packing and unpacking materials, confirming quantities and entering this information into the ERP system. Attention to detail is critical to ensure the products are shipped to the correct customer and receiving details are also recorded correctly. Moving small to heavy parts and machines with cranes and forklifts.

Driving:

Operate a DZ class vehicle safely and efficiently to perform pickups and deliveries across Southern Ontario.
Ensure safe and timely transport of goods to various locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Maintain accurate delivery records and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
Interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries.

Shipping/Receiving:

Manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials.
Prepare and package outgoing shipments accurately.
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock checks.
Operate forklifts and, where applicable, overhead cranes for loading and unloading goods.
Storeroom Activities
Cycle count adjustments.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience in shipping and receiving roles. 2+ years
Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is an asset.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely - up to 23kg / 50lbs
Knowledge of Southern Ontario routes and locations.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Grade 12 Diploma or Equivalency
Familiar with MS Word, Excel and SAP an asset
