CLASS 1 DRIVER REQUIRED IN TORONTO

Due to an expansion in our fleet, we have immediate openings for professional Class 1 drivers (van/reefer). We are based in Calgary, and running Canada-US + Western Canada routes are within BC, AB, SK, MB, and so many other places (mainly the US/cross border).

We are looking for Class1 Company Drivers
-Competitive Rates ($0.55 per mile).
-Layover Pay.
-Paid Waiting.
-Paid Extra Picks and Drops.
-Cell phone allowance.
-Assigned Units.
-Dedicated 24/7 dispatch coverage.
-Stability; Full-Time Hours and consistent year-round work.
-We can offer a variety of shifts and runs and options for dedicated runs.

Responsibilities and Duties
-Calgary based driver traveling throughout Canada and the USA.
-Operating Articulated Tractor Trailer safely and professionally.
-Ability to Cross the Border and Drive in the US.
-Must abide by and follow Provincial and Federal Motor Vehicle acts.
-Complete daily pre/post-trip truck inspections.
-Provide updates and keep track of temperatures of freight and keeping track of customer invoices.
-Perform all other duties, as required.

Qualifications and Skills
-Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience.
-Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean commercial driver's abstract.
-Strong communication and customer service skills.
-Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
-Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
-Driver logbook /E-logbook (ELD).
-Willing to handle Bill of lading, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports, Maintenance and repair reports (will train after hiring).

Security and Safety
Valid passport (or FAST card).
-Criminal background check.
-Driver's validity licence check.
-Clean driver's commercial abstract.
-Drug test.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

COVID-19 considerations:
During working hours drivers must follow and consider:
1. Wearing a mask in public & indoor places.
2. Take social distancing measures.
3. Frequent hand hygiene (wash/sanitize).
