1969 Gibson Country Western SJN Acoustic Guitar

Up for sale is my prized vintage Gibson Country Western. Purchased from Chicago Music Exchange June 2019. The only thing I’ve done to it besides the yearly setups, was a fret dress.

All Photos posted are from Chicago Music Exchange. Guitar condition has not changed at all. Has been stored and kept in a humidity controlled room from season to season.

The serial number dates to the late 60's-early 70's. Chicago Music Exchange assured me it was 1969 though when you look the serial number up, it is 1970. All that being said the style of neck heel and neck profile suggest that the guitar was built before 1970. Most likely 1969 specs but was stamped as part of the early guitar shipped out in 1970.

Hardware: -Numerous tuner sets have been installed over the years, currently has the correct style (non-original) Kluson Deluxe tuners. -Strap button installed on neck heel. -Bridge, bridge plate, bridge pins, and saddle are not original. Original bridge, pins, and saddle are included in the case.

Modifications / Repairs: -Tuners, bridge, bridge plate, bridge pins, and saddle are not original. -Back of the headstock has been oversprayed.

Case Details: Non-original hardshell case is in good shape with some light cosmetic wear. Contains original bridge, pins, and saddle.

Cosmetic Condition: This guitar has moderate wear for its age. -Weather checking throughout. -Body has scratches, dents, finish chips, moderate buckle rash, and some areas of worn finish near the bridge and pickguard. -Area of finish blemishes around the bridge, likely due to the process of replacing it. -The neck has some dents, scratches, and finish chips. -Back of the headstock has been oversprayed and has numerous plugged holes from different tuner sets.
